The main element of EnglishKid is game which proves to be most effective way to learn English by kids throughout the world.

Your child will be learning how to speak real English at the level American or British children speak from the very start

Children perceive this world and communicate with the world through game, and they absorb information through game. What a gigantic mistake would be to try to teach English to children as if teaching to adults! While educational games and activities would be a waste of time for adults, it is a natural way of learning about the world and learning in general for children.

Teaching English to kids in our school is based on effective alternation of different games and activities in a game form which target English comprehension, English speaking and thinking in English.

One of the most important tasks

in teaching language to children is to generate interest in the language. After all, children learn their native language naturally.

Children "absorb" the language through various life situations. A child learns the mother tongue when he or she goes with his/her mom or dad to the store, the zoo, etc.

You probably have observed many times during a routine trip in the transport or in a car how vividly a child reacts to the passing cars and how many questions he or she asks regarding all types cars, pedestrians and other strangers whom he / she observes through the window. A child pays interest and learns at the same time!

Teaching in our school aims first of all to generate interest in learning English using child's natural curiosity, through their susceptibility to all new and exciting as opposed to "pressure".

Here are few simple "tricks" used to teach a child a foreign language in a fun and effective way. A child is much more interesting to learn English if:

- a child himself/herself can say or show, and even "act for" their favourite characters

- a child interacts with a teacher in a dialogue in a game form

- a child is surrounded by their peers and interacts with them in a dialogue in the game or when the children sing a song together

- there is an aspect of movement, action in a lesson

- a child has the opportunity to observe how the same tasks are performed by other children

- the material is diverse, with bright and colourful pictures, interesting characters and funny tunes

- a child is not discouraged when she/he does not know something but receives a lot of support and encouragement

- English language studying is not an end in itself, but a means for the game, socializing and just fun!

- The child sees the result of his knowledge and, therefore, is motivated to find out more!

By watching TV or cartoons in English, a child acquires passive vocabulary. But only in the classroom, in concrete, unpredictable situations he/she can test their knowledge and practice the language the same way as he/she would do later in life. Better one time to do yourself than to hear 100 times!
